The Bais Rochel Leah Upper School is located on the beautiful 11 acre Hebrew Academy campus located in Huntington Beach, California. Established in 1975, the school has a well-established reputation for a fine Limudei Kodesh and general studies curriculum. Beginning in the fall 2005, the BRLH Upper School hosted a new dormitory for students wishing to study in a Blue Ribbon school that combines high quality education in a breathtaking setting.

The dormitory is located in the Long Beach community, walking distance from Congregation Lubavitch.

While on campus, students have a wide range of course offerings. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The BRLH Upper School, along with the rest of the Hebrew Academy, is the only Jewish Day School in the West to receive two prestigious, National Blue Ribbons for Educational Excellence. Our general studies classes are University of California accredited and we have a broad offering of Advanced Placement courses. Whether our graduates want to attend a seminary, a university, or travel to Israel for a year and defer post-secondary admission, we have a 100% placement rate.

A junior-Olympic sized swimming pool adds to
the wide variety of physical education offerings.

Applications are being accepted now for the coming school year. There are limited openings for the dormitory option.

Students work together
socially, academically and spiritually.

The success that students who are enrolled in the Hebrew Academy’s BRLH Upper School enjoy is due to the rigorous curriculum coupled with a nurturing atmosphere. Our students excel because they are fulfilled both academically and spiritually. Graduates are not only academically prepared in Judaic and General Studies, they are strong, educated Jewish women prepared for the challenges of a complex world.
