Dr. Mary Greer - x-stream Lab Coordinator/High School Science Teacher

I was born and raised in Southern California, graduated from UC Irvine in biology and was a Clinical Nutritionist before starting a family. My husband and I are blessed with four fantastic daughters and 13 grandchildren!

I began teaching at the Hebrew Academy in 1981. It was my very first time teaching young people.  I loved it so much I went back to Irvine and earned my Teaching Credential. I have continued teaching and learning ever since.  I earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology in Utah and I have taught math and science in Middle School, High School, and college.

I love to read, particularly science books and I am an avid and Master gardener.  I love children and believe time spent with and for them is the most honorable time spent for the future of humanity.  They bring beauty, growth, love, and awe to my life and I am most grateful for them and the opportunities I have had to participate in the lives of many, many young people. I am so happy to be able to come back to where it all began and be part of this wonderful community again.
