Who we are...

Since 1969, the Hebrew Academy Orange County has provided a full spectrum of challenging academic activities, supported by strong value based Judaic Studies, for students in infant care, preschool, K-8, High School for girls. In 2003, the Academy was the only Hebrew Day School in the country to be twice awarded with the prestigious U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon for academic excellence. In addition, the Academy has continuously maintained the highest rating from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for over two decades. 

The Academy is located on eleven spacious acres in Huntington Beach, near the 405 and 22 Freeways. It includes:

  • WASC and NAEYC accredited infant care/nursery/preschool with its own facility and playground
  • K-5 elementary school, and separate middle and high school facilities
  • State-of-the-art cyberlab and xSTREAM lab complements the award winning curriculum
  • Covered outdoor lunch area is adjacent to our Kosher kitchen where hot lunch is served daily
  • Latest science and technology labs
  • Extensive reader reference lending library
  • Goldsman Sanctuary.

The Academy has consistently operated at or near enrollment capacity. Class size is generally less than 20, which affords individualized learning in each classroom. The adult student ratio is 1 to 8 in the primary grades. Each student is given more teacher time in our small size classes.
